Axium™ Prime soft coil

Detachable coils

Axium™ Prime soft coil

The Axium™ Prime soft coil has a thin wire and winding pattern to seek open spaces for treating intracranial aneurysms.

Description

Axium™ Prime soft coils are intended for the endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms. Axium™ Prime Soft coils are also intended for the embolization of other neurovascular abnormalities such as arteriovenous malformations and arteriovenous fistulae.1

Larger OD for higher packing

Thinner .0015" primary wire and precisely matched .0115" outer diameter (OD) to fill more space.2

Random break design

Seeks and fills spaces and changes direction when met with resistance to help packing density.3

Softness

Softest filling confirmed. 8X softer vs the average filling coil.†,4

Features

Axium™ coil family provides optimal implant designs for a variety of coiling procedures with our framing, filling, and finishing coils. Axium™ products provide proven softness, high-volume packing, minimal kickback, and exceptional detachment. ‡,3,5–10

99.7%

Proven reliability with first attempt detachment success9–11

Better trackability through tortuous anatomy§,12-14

Distal tapered pusher design allows for increased articulation and enhanced trackability13,15

Minimal micro catheter kick-back

Ball and socket design allows for 360° axial rotation which facilitates coil delivery with less micro catheter kick-back13–16

The entire Axium™ family of coils features a progressive outer diameter matched to the implant size, which optimizes stability and volume throughout the entire coil line.5

‡ Based on bench test comparing average work number of Axium™ Prime extra soft coil versus Target® Nano™ coil. 20 units of each coil were tested. Bench testing is not indicative of clinical performance.; Determined using formula for cylinder (volume = πr2 x length). Based on calculated k-factor values
