Surgidac™ polyester sutures are braided, nonabsorbable, sterile surgical sutures for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
Description
Surgidac™ polyester sutures are braided, nonabsorbable, sterile surgical sutures composed of polyethylene terephthalate.
Features
- Surgidac™ polyester sutures are available undyed (white) braided, uncoated, in sizes 4-0 (1.5 Metric) through 6-0 (0.7 Metric).
- The sutures are supplied sterile, affixed to needles in one dozen box quantities.
- Surgidac™ polyester sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissues, followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue.
- Surgidac™ polyester sutures are not absorbed, nor is any significant change in tensile strength retention known to occur in vivo.
