REQUEST INFOFIND A DBS SPECIALIST
When you’re ready to start the conversation, look for a neurologist who specializes in treating epilepsy. An epileptologist is a neurologist with extra training and experience in epilepsy treatments. When talking with your doctor, be honest about your symptoms and how your treatment is working.
Get started by searching for a level 4 epilepsy center using the NAEC finder tool.
SEARCH NOWTALK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS DBS
Talk one-on-one with someone who has DBS for epilepsy. Ask the questions that only people living with DBS therapy can answer, such as:
- What’s the DBS surgery like?
- What does stimulation feel like?
- Why did you choose DBS therapy?
- How has your life changed?
Note: The volunteers in this program are not Medtronic employees, and they do not offer medical advice or technical support. You can view profiles and choose the person you want to talk to. To schedule your call with someone living with DBS, sign up online above, or call us at 877‑438‑3574.
