Description
Engineered to adapt
The Percept™ PC neurostimulator with exclusive BrainSense™ technology† is part of the first complete deep brain stimulation (DBS) system with sensing, directionality, and advanced programming capabilities. The device gathers real-time data to offer insights into the patient‘s condition, as symptoms occurred, allowing you to adapt therapy to your patient's evolving needs over time.
The recharge-free model blends ergonomic design with cutting-edge battery technology.
Features
Ergonomic design
Percept™ PC neurostimulator is designed for comfort. It is the thinnest PC on the market.‡,1–3
Designed to last
The Percept™ PC device has a projected mean longevity greater than five years for median energy-user§ and features smart battery technology. It offers real-time estimation of battery longevity,◊ to keep your patients informed.
Designed to adapt
BrainSense™ technology and advanced programming capabilities let you personalize therapy to your patients’ evolving needs over time.
Designed to automatically adapt for Parkinson's disease
The Percept™ PC device is part of the only sensing-enabled DBS system, with the world's first closed-loop feature for Parkinson's disease.
- BrainSense™ Electrode Identifier
The electrode identifier provides a personalized, real-time snapshot of a patient's brain signals, which can help provide insights into the sensing "sweet spot" for programming. - BrainSense™ Adaptive DBS (aDBS)
The device automatically adjusts therapeutic stimulation through the day and night, giving patients with Parkison’s disease improved motor symptom (rigidity, bradykinesia, tremor) control for more of their day compared to cDBS.

† The sensing feature of the Percept™ PC system is intended for use in patients receiving DBS where chronically recorded bioelectric data may provide useful, objective information regarding patient clinical status. The majority of patients with Parkinson’s disease have an identifiable signal. Signal may not be present or measurable in patients treated for essential tremor, dystonia, epilepsy, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. Humanitarian device: The effectiveness of these devices for the treatment of dystonia and obsessive-compulsive disorder has not been demonstrated.
