Composite mesh

Parietex™ composite ventral patch

The Parietex™ composite ventral patch is intended for the reinforcement of adbominal wall soft tissue where a weakness exists for primary ventral hernia repair.

Features

Designed for optimal abdominal wall conformability†,8-10

  • The mesh conforms to the abdominal cavity thanks to the expander, positioning, and fixation system (handles and peripheral fixation).

Provides easy deployment and fixation system‡,8,9

  • Pulling on the handles will help user to position the mesh in the center of the defect.

  • The fixation system based on the four semi-peripheral points, provides a balanced fixation on healthy tissue away from the center of the defect.

Supports tissue integration while minimizing visceral attachment with collagen film‡,1-4,11-14

  • Macroporous textile enables consistent tissue integration.

  • Resorbable collagen film minimizes visceral attachment.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, the mesh must be hydrated in its original blister before being handled. This is carried out by immersing it completely in sterile saline solution for several seconds to ensure its conformability and flexibility.

The mesh should be used in the form in which it is provided without being cut. This will ensure the integrity of the mesh.

Yes. The suturing technique used to anchor the mesh is left up to the practitioner.
