Cryoablation steerable sheaths

FlexCath Advance™ steerable sheath

The FlexCath Advance™ steerable sheath is used to position an ablation catheter during atrial fibrillation procedures.

Features

Using the FlexCath Advance™ steerable sheath

Once transseptal puncture has been performed using an indicated needle, the FlexCath Advance™ sheath can be used to cross into the left atrium once access is obtained. (The FlexCath Advance™ sheath is not indicated for transseptal puncture.) The cryoballoon is then inserted over a guidewire through the sheath to the left atrium where it can be inflated and positioned to efficiently isolate the pulmonary veins with minimal energy applications. Complex, three-dimensional mapping is not required.

 1. Marker band: nominal radiopaque marker 5.1 mm (0.200 in) proximal to sheath tip for visibility under fluoroscopy
 2. Dilator: packaged with a dilator; facilitating the introduction of the sheath into the vasculature
 3. Hemostasis valve: allows for introduction, withdrawal, and swapping of catheters and guidewires while preventing air ingress and minimizing blood loss
The FlexCath Advance™ steerable sheath is a unidirectional, deflectable sheath for use with the Arctic Front™ cardiac cryoablation catheter system.
