The Onyx™ liquid embolic system (LES) is an injectable, non-adhesive agent used for presurgical embolization of brain arteriovenous malformations (bAVMs).
Designed to provide complete filling and distal penetration, the Onyx™ LES is a pre-mixed, radiopaque, injectable liquid embolic made of ethylene vinyl-alcohol copolymer (EVOH), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and micronized tantalum powder (Ta).1

The numerical term of Onyx™ LES describes its relative viscosity. Onyx™ LES is offered in 18 and 34 to provide options for controllable injections.
