Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (TAA)

Purpose

Valiant_OverviewImage

The Valiant® Thoracic Stent Graft treats descending thoracic aortic aneurysms using a minimally invasive procedure called endovascular stent grafting. It reinforces the wall of the thoracic aorta to prevent the aneurysm from rupturing.

Placement

The Valiant Thoracic Stent Graft is placed inside of the thoracic aortic aneurysm, without surgically opening the tissue surrounding it, using a delivery catheter (a long tube-like device that places the stent graft within the blood vessel). Once placed in the correct location, the stent graft expands to fit within the diameter of the thoracic aorta and provides a new path for the blood flow.
