Cryoablation instruments and accessories

Cardioblate™ CryoFlex™ surgical ablation probe

<p>Cardioblate™ CryoFlex™ probes are used to freeze target tissue and block electrical conduction pathways, creating inflammatory response and cryonecrosis.</p>

Features

Malleability1

The tip of the probe can be custom shaped quickly to meet the specific needs of the surgical case. A shaping tool is not required to control the contour of the CryoFlex™ probe.

The Cardioblate™ CryoFlex surgical ablation probe is used in cardiac surgery procedures.

Adjustable insulation sheath

The ablation length of the probe tip can be adjusted using a sliding insulation sheath, helping to shield non-targeted tissue.2,3

Argon-powered cryoablation

Cardioblate™ CryoFlex™ probes, using Argon gas, reach temperatures of −150 C in test freezes.2–4

Cardioblate™ CryoFlex™ surgical ablation probes are distinctly malleable, allowing them to be easily shaped and reshaped.

Potential adverse events with this device are similar to other cardiac surgery procedures and may include the following: bleeding; re-operation; extension of extracorporeal bypass; heart rhythm disturbances (atrial and/or ventricular); pericardial effusion; pericarditis; cardiac tamponade; pleural effusion; mediastinitis; conduction disturbances (SA/AV node); acute ischemic myocardial event; thrombus formation; low cardiac output; stroke; renal, gastrointestinal or respiratory complications; sepsis; adjacent structural damage; and death.
