Shiley™ evac endotracheal tubes with SealGuard™ cuff offers the same patented TaperGuard™ cuff technology, with an integrated cuff inflation line and integrated suction lumen. The SealGuard™ evac endotracheal tube features an ultra-thin polyurethane cuff that permits lower cuff pressures to maintain proper tracheal seal.¹ It also features a smooth Murphy eye for easy insertion and is suitable for both nasal and oral insertion.

The SealGuard™ evac tracheal tube has been proven to reduce microaspirations and thus reduce the incidence of ventilator-associated pnuemonia (VAP).^1–4 The tapered shape of the cuff and the polyurethane material used to make the cuff enable this tube to fit snuggly within the tracheal walls.
