SuperLock™ nitinol coil fiducial marker
The SuperLock™ nitinol coil fiducial marker is used to radiographically mark soft tissue for future surgical or therapeutic purposes.
Description
The SuperLock™ fiducial marker can enable precision during stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). When treating lesions within the lung where structures are in constant motion, fiducial markers allow for more precise targeting to maintain lesion localization and preserve healthy tissue.1,2 The SuperLock™ fiducial marker enables lesion localization in video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery3 and maintains lesion localization to maximize SBRT treatment.1,2 Shape memory in the nitinol wire is designed to secure the marker and minimize migration.3
