Description

Parietex™ hydrophilic 2-D mesh is made of non-absorbable multifilament polyester, designed to ensure long-term reinforcement of soft tissues. The macroporous textiles provide strength required to withstand biomechanical stresses throughout the healing period, while allowing for tissue ingrowth. As the textiles integrate, host tissue ingrowth is intended to provide strength to the repair.

This mesh is made of a 2-dimensional textile and is available in two versions: a standard version (TEC references) and a rigid version (TECR references).

Parietex™ hydrophilic 2-D mesh is available in different shapes and sizes:

  • Rectangular and elliptical mesh
  • Folding mesh: This mesh is provided with a non-absorbable pre-placed yarn tied to the mesh. This yarn allows mesh folding before introduction through the trocar port and is removed after the mesh is deployed in the cavity. Of note, one of the folding mesh presents a slit and a closing flap for the passage of the cord.
  • Pre-cut and slit mesh: This mesh presents a slit for the passage of the cord.
