The PDB™ dissection balloon is primarily indicated for laparoscopic surgery requiring tissue separation of the extraperitoneal space.
Description
The PDB™ dissection balloon uses a distention balloon to separate tissue planes, forming a discrete cavity. Following tissue separation, a second cannula with a balloon anchor (blunt tip trocar, structural balloon trocar, or other suitable device) is inserted into the cavity, and the extraperitoneal space insufflated.
