PillCam™ patency capsule
The PillCam™ patency capsule is a dissolvable capsule used to verify adequate patency of the gastrointestinal tract prior to capsule endoscopy.
Description
The PillCam™ patency capsule is used to verify an unobstructed small bowel prior to capsule endoscopy. In patients with known or suspected strictures, a PillCam™ patency capsule may be given to verify patency, allowing the physician to better assess if PillCam™ capsule endoscopy is a good option for these patients.
