MYCARELINK RELAY HOME COMMUNICATOR Remote Monitoring

MYCARELINK RELAY HOME COMMUNICATOR

MyCareLink Relay Home Communicator

The MyCareLink Relay™ Home Communicator sends data from your heart device directly to your clinic using Wi-Fi or cellular data. MyCareLink Relay Home Communicator is compatible with Bluetooth enabled devices.

This option may be best if you:

  • Rarely carry your mobile device (like a smartphone or tablet) with you
  • Are not very comfortable with using apps or smart technology

CONNECTING YOUR MYCARELINK RELAY TO WI-FI

This monitor has the option to set up Wifi to ensure you have a more robust connection for sending transmissions and for receiving software and security updates.

The MyCareLink Relay™ Home Communicator will automatically default to a cellular connection if you do not use Wi-Fi or if your Wi-Fi stops working. Setting up Wi-Fi is not required.

Relay Monitor Education

  • Ensure the monitor is plugged in at the power, and placed within 3 metres of your bed, preferably on a bedside table.
  • The light ring should turn solid green and you may hear two tones. This indicates that your monitor is connecting, and it can take up to 24 hours for initial pairing. During this time, please sleep next to the monitor.
  • Once the ring turns solid green you do not need to touch the monitor as your device automatically connects to your pacemaker and will send through any alert conditions and scheduled transmissions your doctor wishes to know about.
  • Please do not touch the monitor unless directed to by your device doctor or Medtronic.
  • The MyCareLink Relay has a built-in light sensor that will automatically adjust to your rooms brightness and will switch off when the lights are dimmed.
  • If you are travelling for more than 14 days without the monitor, please contact Medtronic and advise of travel dates. We recommend you take the monitor with you unless directed by your cardiologist. You will just need to plug it in at your new location.
  • The monitor has an inbuilt cellular sim card which has international roaming which means the monitor can be connected overseas. However, Medtronic cannot provide specific local carriers, nor can we guarantee service will be available. Medtronic has no control over the carriers in all countries.
  • Medtronic cannot assist with any billing or medical enquiries.
  • The monitor is not an emergency tool. If you are feeling unwell, please contact your follow-up physician. If it is urgent, please call 000 or go straight to hospital.
