Yes. MyCareLink is small, lightweight, and easy to pack. Its simple set-up, operation, and global mobile access make it convenient to use wherever you go.
Yes. MyCareLink’s global mobile technology provides connectivity in most countries where a mobile phone signal is available. If you would like to confirm availability of coverage in a specific country, please ask your clinic which specific countries MyCareLink is compatible with.
The MyCareLink Monitor actually contains the key components of mobile connectivity. You need to have mobile coverage in order for the service to work.
It is important that you keep the MyCareLink Monitor plugged in at all times, to allow for automatic transmissions set by your doctor. This also helps ensure that the monitor gets all the software updates as they become available.
However, the MyCareLink is designed to be portable and you can unplug it in order to set it up in various locations, for example when you travel.
When sending a transmission, turn off televisions, computer monitors and screens, mobile phones, and other wireless devices that are within two metres of the MyCareLink Patient Monitor.
Transmissions should be sent as directed by your doctor.
Information is transmitted according to your scheduled transmissions or your doctor’s instructions.
A green check-mark will appear on the display screen of the monitor when your device information has been successfully transmitted. If you miss the green check mark, a date will appear on the screen noting that the transmission was successful.
This depends on your individual situation and should be discussed with your doctor.
The light on the side of the monitor lets you know your monitor is plugged into a power source and ready to use.
The MyCareLink Monitor should not interfere with wireless Internet as long as MyCareLink is at least two metres from your wireless home network devices.
You only need to be close to your MyCareLink Monitor at the times of your scheduled transmissions, or if your clinic has asked you to send a manual transmission. Otherwise, you may go about your day as usual.
The monitor simply needs to be plugged in to the power and kept three metres from your bed, so if you want, you can keep it in a drawer, or in a closet or even under the bed.
