The pathway will take place over 6 months and will include multi-modality training, combining online lecture content, clinical immersions and hands-on training.
Vaginoscopy, known as a “no-touch” technique, exhibits a similar efficacy to standard hysteroscopy. The endoscope can smoothly traverse the vaginal canal and cervix without introducing a vaginal speculum or cervical grasper. Evidence has concluded that the technique significantly reduces pain, procedural time, and vasovagal response compared with the traditional approach.
Laparoscopic hysterectomies have been clearly associated with decreased blood loss, shorter hospital stay, speedier return to normal activities, and fewer abdominal wall infections when compared with abdominal hysterectomies.
