Medtronic bowel control therapy treats chronic fecal incontinence (an accident or leaking involving stool). Medtronic bowel control therapy should be used after you have tried other treatments such as medications and behavioral therapy and they have not worked, or you could not tolerate them. In addition to risks related to a surgical procedure, complications from this therapy can occur and may require surgery. For a complete list of adverse events that have been associated with the therapy, please refer to the Important Safety Information. Patients should always discuss the potential risks and benefits of the therapy with a physician. This therapy is not for everyone. A prescription is required.
