How long will I need to stay in the hospital for shunt placement?

Most people leave the hospital within 2 to 7 days, depending on their clinical progress.

What happens after the procedure is over?

Immediately after surgery, you’ll go to the post anaesthesia care unit. You’ll stay there for close observation for about an hour and then go to the ward.
