Aquamantys System
and Bipolar Sealers
The Aquamantys® System and bipolar sealers feature innovative Transcollation® technology, a combination of radiofrequency (RF) energy and saline that provides hemostatic sealing of soft tissue and bone during surgery.
The Aquamantys System consists of a proprietary radiofrequency (RF) generator that delivers Transcollation technology to disposable Aquamantys bipolar sealers.
Features of the Aquamantys Generator include:
Only disposable devices and accessories specifically recommended by Medtronic Advanced Energy may be used with Aquamantys generators.
Managing both cut muscle and epidural bleeding may require the use of multiple devices/modalities. The Aquamantys SBS 5.0 Sheathed Bipolar Sealer was designed to optimize speed and continuity of surgical cases by treating both of these needs with one device.
Transcollation technology provides the following clinical benefits when used during spinal surgery:
The Aquamantys SBS 5.0 Sheathed Bipolar Sealer is commonly used in open or MIS 1- or 2-level instrumented fusions.
For more information about the Aquamantys SBS 5.0 Sheathed Bipolar Sealer, contact Medtronic Advanced Energy or your local sales representative.

Bleeding in the epidural space can compromise visibility and add frustration to an otherwise predictable case. Like the Epidural Vein Sealer, the Aquamantys Mini EVS 3.4 is an innovative handpiece that addresses this challenge.
Designed to optimize visibility and control epidural bleeding, the Aquamantys Mini EVS 3.4 enables you to prophylactically compress and treat epidural veins before they begin to bleed.
Transcollation technology provides the following clinical benefits when used during spine surgery:
