Medtronic has had one or more facilities in the province of Limburg since 1969. In that year, the founder and former CEO of Medtronic, Earl Bakken, chose Kerkrade as the city for Europe's first facility and base for Medtronic's activities. Today, Medtronic is still well represented in the Netherlands, and this year, we celebrate the fact that Medtronic has already been in the Netherlands for 55 years.
