Despite extensive testing, there is not enough long term data in humans to predict the lifetime of the Prestige LPTM cervical disc.
If you continue to experience the same or new neck or arm pain, it is possible that either the surgery was not effective or that the cervical disc system has failed. If the pain does not resolve, you may need additional surgery. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience neck or arm pain.
You will have a bandage on your neck. You may shower quickly but try not to soak the bandage. Do not use a hot tub.
The incision is typically about one inch long and usually heals so that it is barely noticeable.
