Our wide range of cardiovascular needles ensures you always have the right needle for the job, including cardiovascular, peripheral vascular and general closure applications.   

• Surgalloy™ provides enhanced strength and ductility, resulting in greater resistance to breaking and bending. 
• NuCoat™ technology/NuCoat™ coating significantly enhances initial and multi-pass penetration, resulting in smoother passage, less tissue drag and less potential for tissue damage. 
• Laser chamfering diminishes the chance for suture fracturing at the swage or damage from needle articulation, allowing for a more reliable suture attachment.

We provide taper point, penetrating taper, tapercutting, and conventional cutting needles in a range of curvatures (1/2 and 3/8 circle), lengths (from 9–90 mm) and wire diameters.  

• CV taper point needles are designed with slim taper ratio geometry and without cutting edges to decrease leakage in vessels.   
• CV tapercutting needles are designed to provide excellent penetration through hard, calcified arteries.

Maximum control for microsurgery

Our microsurgery needles are innovatively designed for neurological and microvascular applications, andare available as taper point and tapercutting type 3/8 circle curvature needles.

All our microsurgery needles feature NuCoat™ technology forsignificantly enhancedinitial and multi-pass penetration, resulting in smother passage, less tissue drag and less tissue damage.

In addition, our microvascular (MV, taper point) and microvascular tapercutting (MVK)needle seriesare made exclusively of Surgalloy™ for enhanced strength and ductility, resulting in less bending and breakages –making theseseries ideal for microsurgical applications.

Accommodating a multitude of applications

Our series of general surgery needles offer a broad range of needle thicknesses and tip geometries to accommodate different clinical applications and surgeon preferences.

We provide taper point, tapercutting, blunt point, blunt taper point and diamond point needles, in a range of curvatures and lengths (from 19 mm to 85 mm).

Our PROTECT·POINT™ blunt needle family are designed to reduce the risk of needlestick injuries and protect you from blood-borne exposures. With a specially designed needle tip and NuCoat™ coating, they penetrate tough tissues easily pass after pass⁶, but not your glove.

Our multipurpose needles are designed for a range of surgical procedures, and are available in 1/2, 3/4 and 3/8 circles, and varying lengths (5–13 mm).

Specifically designed for delicate procedures

Our urology needles are round body needles designed for soft tissue suturing.

The smooth round body of the needle tapers to a fine, sharp point that penetrates tissue without tearing or cutting.

Urology needles are available as taper point and 5/8 circle, with lengths of 27 mm (GU-46 and HGU-46), 37 mm (GU-45) and 40 mm (GU-44).

Tough solutions for tough closures

Our orthopaedic needles offer reverse cutting and heavy body reverse cutting abilities, facilitating closure of a variety of tissues, including muscle, fascia, cartilage, bone and skin. Needles are available in 1/2 and 3/8 circle curvature and vary in length from short to long.

Our Heavy Orthopaedic Surgery (HOS) series of needles utilise even heavier wire diameters than standard general surgery needles, allowing for easier penetration of the periosteum or extremely tough tissue at the joint capsule.

Dynamic needles for delicate procedures

We offer premium spatula, spatula and reverse cutting needles for a range of ophthalmic surgery applications, including cornea, sclera, eyelid, muscle and other tissues repair.

Our improved SS and HE needles use AcuTip™ technology, a unique manufacturing process, which results in:*

• Improved consistency and ductility 
• Longer needle life, remaining sharper over multiple passes

Our range of SE needles for primary corneal–scleral closure are made from Surgalloy™ for enhanced strength and ductility, to prevent bending and breakage. 

Our SS and HE needles are proven to perform better than competitor needles: 

• SS-24 needles: 56% stronger than competitor's S-24 needle, and require equivalent penetration force^7,8
• HE-1 needles: 74% stronger than competitor's G-1 needle, and require 25% less penetration force on the first pass, and up to 38% less force on the eight pass⁹

Our needles vary in curvature, including 1/2, 1/4 and 3/8 circles, as well as length (4.8–13 mm).
