The TaperGuard™ endotracheal tube technology offers significantly improved fluid sealing performance compared to other endotracheal tube cuffs.1,2 By reducing the risk of perioperative aspiration caused by inadequately sealing cuffs, the TaperGuard™ endotracheal tube may reduce the risk of Post-Intubation Pulmonary Complications (PIPC) associated with aspiration and microaspiration.

In addition, the Shiley™ oral/nasal endotracheal tube with TaperGuard™ cuff features a low-pressure cuff that exerts 29% less pressure3 on the trachea.*
