Innovations in Endotracheal Tube Cuff

A special report about innovations in endotracheal tube cuff design that help reduce the risk of microaspiration in surgical and critical care settings. The special report appeared in the August 2012 issue of Anesthesiology News and is available online. Two clinicians contributed to this report: Dr. Sabrina Bent, an anesthesiologist and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics at Tulane University, and Dr. Eric Toschlog, Director of Surgical Critical Care and an Associate Professor of Surgery at East Carolina University.
