CareLink Express™ Mobile App
Our advancement into the smart technology arena means a mobile tablet can now be used to interrogate a patient’s cardiac device in a variety of healthcare settings (e.g., emergency rooms, operating room, procedural areas, hospital nursing floors). Using a Medtronic Patient Connector (Model 24967), an Apple®* tablet, and a free app; a device check can be done quickly — and sent securely to a device specialist for interpretation.
Medtronic cardiac device is interrogated in a healthcare setting using the Patient Connector and the CareLink Express mobile app on the tablet.
The app will confirm that the transmission was successful.
A Medtronic representative or device follow-up clinician (configurable by site) is notified of the transmission and reviews the data remotely on the CareLink Express website.
A telephone call is made by the reviewer to the clinician in the CareLink Express healthcare setting (where the patient’s device was interrogated) to discuss the technical findings.
The patient’s follow-up clinic receives transmission data for patients currently enrolled in the CareLink network.
A handheld telemetry wand called the patient connector

A carrying case that will house both the patient connector and the tablet
With CareLink Express Mobile, you can quickly determine the care pathway for your cardiac device patients. It can also help reduce the time your cardiac device patient spends in the acute care setting and can help hospitals avoid unnecessary (and costly) admissions for these patients.1-3
