Patients who have had DBS implanted will use the patient programmer to turn the therapy on or off and check the battery. The patient may also be able to adjust the stimulation within options programmed by the doctor.
The programmer manual has information about use, maintenance, and troubleshooting. With the Activa™ neurostimulator, there will also be an illustrated quick guide.
The clinician will provide the printed manual for the programmer. Patients can get a replacement copy by calling Medtronic Patient Services Hours: Monday to Friday 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. Australia 1800 652 972 — or view and print a copy below.
