For: Allied Health Professionals (RNs, NPs) associated with physicians or practices specializing in the management of the SynchroMed™ II Pump for ITB Therapy with Lioresal® Intrathecal (baclofen injection) for severe spasticity.
Objectives:
Description: The first part of the course defines and describes spasticity, reviews common etiologies associated with spasticity, describes the advantages and disadvantages of ITB Therapy, and describes how ITB Therapy can be utilized as a treatment for severe spasticity. The second part provides an introduction to assessing spasticity and reviews patient selection criteria for ITB Therapy and the ITB Therapy screening test.
