About Autologs 1.3

Greater Convenience and Faster Access

Introducing Autologs™ 1.3, the latest update to our advanced device management service. The enhanced Autologs 1.3 website and report were developed with the goals of driving greater convenience and delivering faster access to important pump data.

Autologs 1.3 delivers:

  • Faster access to important patient data. Users now have the option to download logfile reports directly from the website, as opposed to having to wait for an email.
  • Deeper insight into the chronology of events. Users can choose to view a summarized or detailed list of alarm and event notifications when running reports. New event indicators have also been added to the custom zoom trend plot to visually show the type of alarm event that was experienced.
  • Greater convenience. If a clinician chooses to email logfile data, the Autologs 1.3 website will automatically complete the entry of frequently used email address.

“The impact of logfiles for our patients has been substantial. We review the logfiles in conjunction with other pieces of data to look not just for a trend in a patient, but also for something more urgent. We've been able to pick up even early events before they actually happen, and those patients were able to get admitted and taken care of.”

–Erika D. Feller, M.D., Cardiologist University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD

How Logfiles Are Created

HVAD Waveforms

The HVAD waveform is a visualization of blood flow through the HVAD, which is generated by three factors:

  1. Pressure at the inflow of the pump
  2. Pressure at the outflow of the pump
  3. Set speed

Controller Logfiles

Every 15 minutes, the controller records the flow from the waveform and the pump's speed and power into its logfiles. It also records all medium- and high-priority alarms at the time they occur. The controller can store up to 30 days of pump parameter data before overwriting the data in a first in/first out fashion.

Autologs

When sent to the Autologs service, the data contained in the logfiles is charted and organized in a way to simplify pump performance interpretation. The data shown in the reports is summarized to help the user identify major and long-term trends.
