Who is this insulin pump recommended for?

The MiniMed™ 780G system^ is approved for people with type 1 diabetes age 7 and above whose daily dose of insulin is 8 units per day or more. To learn more about insulin pump therapy for children please click here. If you would prefer not to wear a CGM, the MiniMed™ 640G system may be a better fit for you. If you would like a CGM and not an insulin pump, consider looking into the Guardian™ Connect CGM.

Does the system communicate with my smartphone?

Yes. The MiniMed™ 780G system^ transmits to your smartphone via wireless technology. You and your care partners are able to see real-time blood glucose trends on a smartphone anytime. Available to download at no cost for most iOS and Android smartphones.
