Fundamentals of Neonatal Non-invasive Ventilation

In this training module, you will learn about the fundamentals of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) for neonatal patients. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the indications and contraindications for NIV, the different types of NIV modes, and the principles of NIV management in neonates. This continuing education program is accredited and can be taken for either CE accreditation or general learning. If taken for credit, this course provides one contact hour for nurses (California Board of Nursing), RTs (American Association of Respiratory Care), EMS professionals (CAPCE), and CRNAs (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, B Credit).

Lesson 2: Review management strategies for neonates receiving non-invasive ventilation
Lesson 3: Identify the clinical goals of CPAP

This training course covers neonatal respiratory failure and airway management, including the causes and symptoms of respiratory failure and different airway management techniques such as intubation and mechanical ventilation. By the end of this training, you will have gained knowledge around providing effective airway management for neonatal patients.
