Protect with confidence1 your patient's healthy parathyroid tissue — and their quality of life2

PTeye™ parathyroid detection system

The PTeye™ parathyroid detection system is an intra-operative probe-based technology to aid you in confirming suspected parathyroid tissue during thyroid and parathyroid surgery.3

Up to 22% of thyroid surgeries result in incidental parathyroid removal.4 This puts patients at risk for hypoparathyroidism — a condition associated with a number of short- and long-term complications.2,5-9

Real-time confirmation

Add to your visual identification of the parathyroid gland with PTeye™ parathyroid detection system, providing real-time confirmation with up to 96% accuracy.3

PTeye™ parathyroid system is based on an intraoperative technique that uses near-infared (NIR) autoflourescence for in vivo, real-time confirmation of visually suspected parathyroid tissue.3

Identify with confidence

88.9%

Confirming parathyroid gland tissue in 88.9% (24/27) of the cases1

When identified with medium confidence, PTeye™ was highly beneficial for further improving the surgeon's confidence and confirming PG tissue in 88.9% (24/27) of cases¹

7.4%

Prevented surgeon error in
7.4% (2/27) of times1

When identified with medium confidence, PTeye™ was highly beneficial for further improving the surgeon's confidence and preventing surgeon error in 7.4% (2/27).¹

Surgeons reported improved confidence in identifying parathyroid glands by using PTeye™1

In a study, surgeons reported that using the PTeye™ system improved confidence in identifying the parathyroid gland, regardless of the experience.¹
