Remote monitoring of your heart device allows you to send device information to your physician or clinic through a small monitor. Your clinic can review this information on the secure CareLink™ Network and take appropriate action.
This allows you to stay connected to your physician from the comfort of your own home.
With an implanted heart device, ongoing care doesn't end at the implant. It's important to maintain a connection with the doctor or clinic for the life of the device. One of the ways to do this is through remote monitoring.
Remote monitoring is a way for the implanted heart device to communicate with the doctor or clinic using a small monitor. This information is sent directly to the doctor or clinic providing them with the information to routinely check the device from wherever the patient is located.
Remote monitoring is prescribed by your doctor to access information that allows them to manage your heart condition and monitor your implanted heart device. The shared information may communicate abnormal heart rhythms or issues with your heart device to your doctor.
Your clinic schedules dates to receive information from your device.
Device information is sent automatically* for wireless ICDs and Pacemakers.
*Some pacemakers require these sends to be performed manually by the patient.
Device information travels from the remote monitor/ heart app to your clinic. Your clinic reviews the device information on a secure website.
Medtronic pacemakers enabled with BlueSync™ technology can communicate directly with the MyCareLink Heart™ mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The MyCareLink Heart™ mobile app enables a patient to stay connected to the clinic providing freedom to live life — uninterrupted.
Please keep the mobile device and software current to stay connected to the clinic.
The MyCareLink Relay™ Home Communicator automatically sends data from the heart device directly to the clinic using cellular data or Wi-Fi. MyCareLink Relay™ Home Communicator is compatible with Bluetooth enabled devices.
LEARN ABOUT RELAYThe MyCareLinkTM monitor is designed to fit on the bedside table. It sends heart device information to the clinic from almost anywhere in the world — as long as there is a cellular signal.
