Ischemic cardiomyopathy is a term used to describe patients whose heart can no longer pump enough blood to the rest of their body due to coronary artery disease or heart attack causing a lack of blood supply to the heart. The result is an enlarged, dilated, and weakened heart that cannot adequately pump blood through the body.
